Review & reputation health
Last updated:
Review volume and recency are a strong trust and local-recommendation signal. A steady stream of genuine, recent reviews tells engines — and customers — that you’re active and trusted.
Why this matters
Reviews are weighted on recency and authenticity, not just a headline star rating. A big number from years ago carries less than a steady, current flow.
How to improve it
- Build a steady flow of genuine recent reviews — Google Business Profile first, plus any platform that matters in your sector. Aim to build steady volume toward 50+.
- Respond to reviews, including the critical ones — and reply to more of them over time.
- Never incentivise or fake reviews. Recency and authenticity are what’s weighted; manufactured reviews are a risk, not a win.
How to check it worked
Enter your rating and review count in the scanner’s Google Business Profile box for tailored advice, then re-scan after a few weeks of new reviews.
An honest caveat
We coach on building real reviews. Self-entered figures are treated as “as entered, not verified,” and reviews are a signal — never a guarantee of ranking or citation.
